As we all have come to realize, the COVID-19 situation is here, and it is going to change our lives for the foreseeable future. Our first priority is the safety and health of our patients and our team. We have been following the recommendations of the President, the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontics, and local officials for information and recommendations. As a result, we are suspending treatment in all our offices for at least the next 2 weeks. If there is a change, we will adjust the schedule accordingly. Simply put, this means we will not be seeing our normally scheduled patients.
In the meantime, our offices will be open on a limited basis for emergencies, to answer questions, and pick-up of needed materials like retainers, wax, and aligners. We will do this on a case by case basis, so please contact us before attempting to show up at our office. We want to make sure you are taken care of with the least amount of exposure.
If you watched Dr. Anthony’s video, you already know our plans moving forward. In short, we are currently planning to schedule Facetime, Skype, or other virtual evaluation forms to take care of your needs. Tele-orthodontics is already a part of our practice, and we want to make this available if the shutdown continues beyond 2-4 weeks. There is a tab on our website for online evaluations and guidelines for pictures and an exam that might take care of your questions or needs.
Our message is simple: stay safe and take care of your family. We want to be here for you, and we will continue to monitor the situation as we move forward. The only certainty is things are going to change, and we promise we will do our best to stay on top of the situation and keep you informed as we know more.
Stay safe, and God bless you and your family
